10 daily games and modes like Plain
Plain is one shared seven-prompt flight per New York day, scored on a ratio. When I finished reading the first six archives I wanted a second puzzle that still asked for a sense of scale. The list below is that shelf. I am describing the mechanic each site presents, not a review score. Nothing here is an "unlimited Plain."

Checked 2026-10-25. These are browser entry points, not a ranking or a promise that every optional feature is free. Magnitudle is a collection and Size It Up is one of its modes, not an unrelated publisher. Choose numerical estimation for the closest match to Plain, or the word and deduction games for the same daily habit without the ratio scoring.
| Game / mode | What you work out | Why choose it instead |
|---|---|---|
| Magnitudle Daily Question | One numeric estimate | Closest to Plain's direct-number rounds |
| Magnitudle Size It Up | Resize a silhouette against a reference | Visual scale instead of naming facts |
| Estimania | Numeric estimation | Another number-focused daily puzzle |
| Timeguessr | Place and year from a photo | Geography and historical clues |
| Globle | A hidden country | Hot/cold colour feedback, fewest guesses |
| Worldle | A country silhouette | Shape recognition and geography |
| Waffle | Swap letters to form words | Word placement rather than quantities |
| Nerdle | A hidden calculation in six guesses | Arithmetic and elimination |
| Contexto | A secret word | Word associations instead of numerical scale |
| Murdle | A daily mystery | Deduction rather than estimation |
Estimation and order
- Magnitudle Daily Question is the collection's numeric-estimation mode: one question and one guess. This is the closest choice here if you enjoy Plain's direct-number prompts.
- Size It Up by Magnitudle asks you to resize a silhouette beside a reference. The standard daily game has five comparisons, each worth up to 100 points. Its archive offers earlier puzzles; this is not Plain's no-scored-replay rule.
- Estimania is a daily numeric estimate. Their site is the rules. We are not claiming a shared question bank with Plain.
Place, year, and words
- Timeguessr shows a photograph and asks where and when. Distance and years are the score. It is a daily puzzle, not a ratio of two numbers you name.
- Globle by Trainwreck Labs asks you to find a daily mystery country in as few guesses as possible. Wrong guesses are coloured hotter as you get closer. This is not Worldle's silhouette puzzle.
- Worldle starts from a country silhouette. Also daily, also geography.
- Waffle is a daily word swap. It shows up beside Plain in related searches because it is a daily puzzle, not because the rules match.
- Nerdle asks for a hidden calculation in six guesses. Choose it for arithmetic and elimination rather than estimates about the real world. The publisher describes classic Nerdle as free and offers previous games through Replay.
- Contexto asks you to find a secret word. Its current menu has Daily, Previous games and Unlimited entries. Those are Contexto features, not evidence of an unlimited mode in Plain.
- Murdle publishes daily mystery puzzles by G. T. Karber. It is the pick here for deduction rather than numerical scale; the site also has a mini tutorial entry.
What we left off
We did not list playplain.online, playplain.org, or plaingame.fun. Those domains were registered between 21 and 23 October 2026 and are not the game at playplain.app. A directory that files one of them under the name Plain is how the mix-up spreads. If you want the scored daily flight, use the official site. If you want yesterday's numbers, use our archive, which links back to the official issue page.

Questions this page answers
Are these made by Plain?
No. Each game below is a separate site with its own operator. We link the site that publishes the rules. We do not embed them.
Which one is closest to Plain?
The closest habit is a daily number you compare to a real value: Magnitudle, Size It Up, and Estimania sit in that neighborhood. Timeguessr and Globle are daily guesses with a different kind of distance.
